Using the wood-fired hot tub
When you book one of our Yurts or Lodges, we provide a complimentary starter pack of wood and firelighters for use with your hot tub. If you require additional firewood you can add this to your booking or request upon arrival.
Instructions on how to light the hot tub can be found in your Yurt/Lodge. Please note it takes 1 hour 15mins to warm up from cold.
Before using the hot tub, it is essential that you check its temperature and stir the water to prevent warm pockets from forming.
Maintaining the heat
To maintain the ideal water temperature for an enjoyable bathing experience, add some wood to your fire burner every half hour.
However, for safety and energy efficiency reasons, it’s best to turn off the fire when you’re away from the premises for any length of time.
In the summer months, the hot tubs will maintain their heat longer than they will in the winter months.
More Instructions
There are full Instructions on how to light the fire in the black folder inside your Yurt or Lodge. We recommend that you read it prior to use it for your safety.
If you require any assistance then just use the contact number in the back of the black folder.
Children and Wood-fired Hot tubs
We kindly remind parents that it is of utmost importance to keep a close eye on their children when they are near a hot tub. Safety first!
Leaving a child unattended in or near a hot tub could result in serious injury or even death. Hot tubs can be dangerous for young children due to the high temperatures and the potential risk of drowning. Parents and guardians should always be present when a child is in or near a hot tub.
To ensure a safe and fun experience, it is best to keep the pool water at a pleasant 30 degrees Celsius. With this comfortable temperature, you can be sure that everyone will have a great time in the water without any worries!
Hayne Barn Estate does not recommend any child under the age of 5 years of age use the hot tubs at any time.
