We are delighted to announce that our Eco Lodges at Hayne Barn Estate are finally ready for you! Our first one is already available, and we will be adding another one in the next few weeks.
The initial lodges are perfect for couples, with two intimate one-bedroom units – but if you need more room, two additional two-bedroom lodges will be joining the family shortly. So come on down and explore the wonders of Hayne Barn Estate!
So what makes our Lodges Eco Lodges?
Built without any concrete foundations or ground disturbance. Utilising sturdy and sustainable wooden frames as the base, these dwellings have an outer layer of natural UK cladding for a rustic feel. We’ve also added additional insulation to ensure your lodgings stay cozy throughout all seasons.
We are actively exploring the possibility of installing solar panels in a central location to power our eco-site, as well as evaluating a borehole for water. We are also looking into having car park charging units powered by the central solar unit. Moreover, we are delighted to welcome all kinds of wildlife onto our site – badgers, foxes, pheasants, numerous bird species, rabbits, hedgehogs and partridges – all paying us regular visits!

The Eco Lodges at the edge of Saltwood are a natural gateway to explore the captivating Saxon Way. Hikers can discover the charming villages and attractions in Hythe, Rye and its wildlife park by strolling along the Royal Military Canal. With so much beauty just outside their doorstep, our lodgers will experience an unforgettable journey!
With just a 5-minute drive, you can reach the seaside or take a leisurely stroll to experience Dungeness’ miniature railway. If cycling is your chosen mode of transport then The Saxon Way offers plenty of off-road tracks for an exciting journey – ride away! For those craving some refreshment post-activity, our real ale house at Lympne Bridge awaits along the canal.

End your day of adventure with a tranquil evening at our Eco Lodge. Unwind on your own personal deck and savor the flavor of a glass of wine as you cook up something special on the European BBQ. Or, if you’d like to relax even more, why not take a dip in one of our wood-fired hot tubs?

We are conveniently located just five minutes from the M2O junction 11, for those travelling by train there is a quick and easy connection to Saltwood station from London, only 10 minutes away on foot. And if you’re crossing the channel tunnel, it’s a mile away as the crow flies!
